Cryomagnetic positioning system

Positioning system for cryomagnetic “Triplet” (Low Beta Quadrupole).


Follow-up project – Positioning system for cryomagnetic “Triplet” – (Low-Beta Quadrupole). In the Great Hadron Collider (LHC).

The project included the development and research and delivery of 134 positioning devices (actuators) to optimize hadron collision. Effective targeting of beams of rays moving against each other just before their collision. Achieved positioning of the last cryomagnets with an accuracy of +/- 0.01 mm.
